Bad Blogger

So, first of all, I've been a bad blogger. I don't know why...I think it has to do with my procrastination.

So let's see what's happened since I last blogged...We went on a great vacation! Our cruise took us to San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas & St. Maarten. We had great weather. It was such a great, relaxing time. We did some shopping, hung out at the beach, played mini golf on the boat, bought new watches, ate lots of food and enjoyed the warm weather! It was sad to come home and get back into real life. :(

I've also gotten to babysit for Olivia a couple times recently. We have such a great time together. :) I can't believe how big she's getting, and so fast!

I can't think of anything out of the ordinary that has been going on lately. John and I are both really busy with work. We hang out with family and friends whenever possible. John is actually switching shifts starting this week. His new schedule is going to be 3 days on 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) then 3 days on 3rd shift (11pm-7am) then 3 days off! It'll be an adjustment for both of us, but he's excited about it. I have to get used to being alone at night again! But I did it for a year, so I know I can do it. Makes me glad to have Zoe! She's my protector!

This last picture was taken as we were pulling into Puerto Rico. We got there later than expected because of strong head winds. However, the tardiness allowed a great sunset photo shoot.

Just Because

Just because I don't have a baby in my arms, doesn't mean I'm not a Mommy. Just because I don't have a 7-month belly, it doesn't mean I'm not a Mommy. Just because my baby was taken to Heaven much, much too early, it doesn't mean I'm not a Mommy.

I'm truly grateful for all that I have. But today my pain is so fresh, it could have happened yesterday. All I can do is cry, and wish, and hope. But mostly cry.

"An Angel, in the Book of Life, wrote down my baby's birth
Then whispered as she closed the book, 'Too beautiful for earth.'"

I just came across this poem. Sometimes I'm just sad, and this is one of those times. I don't know who the author is.

Daddy, please don't look so sad, Mama please don't cry
'Cause I'm in the arms of Jesus and He sings me lullabies
Please, try not to question God, Don't think he is unkind
Don't think He sent me to you, and then He changed his mind
You see, I am a special child, and I'm needed up above
I'm the special gift you gave Him, the product of your love
I'll always be there with you, so watch the sky at night
Find the brightest star that's gleaming, that's my halo's brilliant light
You'll see me in the morning frost, that mists your window pane
That's me in the summer showers, I'll be dancing in the rain
When you feel a little breeze, from a gentle wind that blows
That's me, I'll be there, planting a kiss on your nose
When you see a child playing, and your heart feels a little tug
That's me, I'll be there, giving your heart a hug
So Daddy, please don't look so sad, Mama don't you cry
I'm in the arms of Jesus and He sings me lullabies
